MATZAH BOX JEWISH STARS

During Passover week, we all eat A LOT of matzah! And with all that matzah eating comes lots of matzah boxes. These can of course be recycled, but it’s much more fun to make Jewish Stars out of them instead! For this super simple eco-friendly craft, just cut two triangles of the same size from a matzah box, glue them together with one triangle pointing up and the other triangle pointing down, and voila — you have a Jewish Star! To make this craft even easier, I created a free Jewish Stars Template that includes six different sizes of triangles to trace. Hope you and your family have a super fun time setting up a Jewish Star Factory and making lots and lots of Jewish Stars! Chag Pesach Sameach!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

-Matzah boxes — as many as you want!
-Jewish Stars Template PDF
-Cardstock paper (to print the Jewish Stars Template)
-Pen or pencil to trace the triangles
-Scissors
-Glue

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

(1) Print the free Jewish Stars Template PDF onto cardstock paper and cut out the triangle size(s) you want to use. (2) Cut one of the vertical lines of a matzah box so that the box is flat. (3) Using one of the triangle templates, trace two triangles of the same size on the back (meaning the side that does not have print on it) of the matzah box cardboard. (4) Cut out the two triangles. (5) Put a dot of glue on the back of one of the triangles, and then join it with the other triangle. These two triangles will be pointing in opposite directions. (6) Repeat steps 3, 4, and 5 as many times as you like!
