MY JEWISH YEAR NECKLACE

Did you know that there’s a Jewish calendar that’s different from our secular calendar which starts with January and ends with December? The Jewish calendar starts with the month of Nissan and ends with the month Adar. Pretty cool! You’ll love wearing this fancy schmancy Jewish Year necklace that will help you remember all the Jewish months and be extra excited about the new year!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

-My Jewish Year Necklace Printable
-Scissors
-Hole punch
-Ribbon, string, or yarn
-Cardstock paper for sturdier rectangle months (of course you can use regular weight paper instead)
-Materials to decorate the rectangle months — paint, markers, crayons, stickers (I colored mine using colored pencils)

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

(1) Download the My Jewish Year Necklace Printable and print it. (2) Carefully cut out each rectangle. (3) Use a hole punch to make a hole on top of each small black circle. (4) Decorate your paper rectangle months however you’d like. (5) String the months (in order, if you can) on your ribbon, string or yarn. Make sure it’s long enough so that your necklace is not close to your neck. (6) Wear it to celebrate the Jewish New Year! (7) See if any of your family and friends would like you to make them a necklace, too!
