CHESED BOOK

Help your kiddos explore how they can show kindness (in Hebrew — chesed) with this sweet little craft book! Using the letters of CHESED, each page features a way to be kind:

Be…Caring
Be…Helpful
Be…Empathetic
Be…Sincere
Be…Encouraging
Be…Delightful

Kids can decorate each page however they like — with markers, stickers, dot markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint… anything! When they’re done, see if they can think of even more ways to show kindness! This is a great companion craft with the wonderful book Be Kind: You Can Make the World a Happier Place by Naomi Shulman.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

-Chesed Book TEMPLATE WITHOUT DOTTED LINES or TEMPLATE WITH DOTTED LINES (so kiddos can cut each 8 1/2” x 11” sheet in half by following the dotted lines)
-Whatever you want to use to decorate each page. I used markers, crayons, dot markers, colored pencils, circles of paper that I made with a craft punch, stickers, and watercolors
-Book ring

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

(1) Print the Chesed Book TEMPLATE (either with or without dotted lines for kiddos to cut each 8 1/2” x 11” sheet in half). (2) Cut each 8 1/2” x 11” sheet in half so that you have eight book pages. (3) Decorate each page however you like. (4) Hole punch each page at the top left (there is a gray circle to mark the spot to punch). (5) Slip each page into the book ring and close it. (6) Enjoy your sweet little chesed book!
